Police arrest man for spreading communal hatred with fake account

 Raipur Police arrested a man for allegedly running a fake Facebook account using a photograph of a woman in Chhattisgarh.
According to reports, the Raipur Police arrested a man named Ravi, an engineering student, for inflammatory posts on Face book. The incident came to light when, police were investigating the Face book account over divisive posts when they found that a man named Ravi had been operating a Face book profile named Nisha Jindal, which has more than 10,000 followers. The description on the Face book profile says:
"I am Nothing without My Lovely Princess Daughter".

Coronavirus: Man arrested for spreading communal hatred in Chhattisgarh

A man has been arrested in Chhattisgarh for spreading hate messages against a community on Facebook in related to the novel coronavirus crisis.

we create social profile to interact with friends family community and people around world. the cyber community is in itself a virtual world and so does it leads to many crime . the biggest misconception is we will not get arrested or we are out of the reach of law enforcement agency.
privacy is a myth

Section 468 in The Indian Penal Code


468. Forgery for purpose of cheating.—
Whoever commits forgery, intending that the 1[document or electronic record forged] shall be used for the purpose of cheating, shall be punished with imprisonment of either de­scription for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine. Cognizable offence. Trial by Magistrate of first Class.

Section-66D ,The information Technology act -2000
Punishment for cheating by persona-ting by using computer resource. 

‘Whoever, by means for any communication device or computer resource cheats by persona-ting, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to
one lac rupees.

Section 66E, of the Information Technology Act, 2000
Punishment for violation of privacy

Whoever, intentionally or knowingly captures, publishes or transmits the image of a private area of any person without his or her consent, under circumstances violating the privacy of that person, shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to three years or with fine not exceeding two lakh rupees, or with both

Section 67, the Information Technology Act, 2000

Punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form :- Whoever publishes or transmits or causes to be published or transmitted in the electronic form, any material which is lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest or if its effect is such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely, having regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it, shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years and with fine which may extend to five lakh rupees and in the event of second or subsequent conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years and also with fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees.

Section 67A-The Information Technology Act, 2000

Punishment for publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act, etc., in electronic form.

Whoever publishes or transmits or causes to be published or transmitted in the electronic form any material which contains sexually explicit act or conduct shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to ten lac rupees and in the event of second or subsequent conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years and also with fine which may extend to ten lac rupees.
